Fit for purpose – TaylorMade launches Kalea Gold range

TaylorMade has introduced its new Kalea Gold women’s line. Building on the Kalea Premier range, every piece of equipment features premium components and proven TaylorMade technologies to help women of all abilities play better golf.

TaylorMade engineers and designers enlisted four cohorts of female golfers for their feedback while creating the range, leading to a departure from the soft, pastel colours that are often found in women’s clubs and a focus on clubs which are lightweight, forgiving and high performing.

The Kalea Gold driver (RRP £449) utilises Carbonwood construction throughout the clubhead allowing mass to be strategically placed within the head to increase energy transfer, optimise launch, and maximise distance.

Carbon construction also features in the new fairway (RRP £249) and rescue (RRP £199) alongside Speed Pocket and Inverted Cone face technology to minimise misses on off-centre strikes.

The range also includes new irons (RRP £122 per iron) utilising Cap Back Design which works in tandem with the Speed Pocket to maximise launch and forgiveness. They also feature an ECHO Damper that promotes better sound and overall feel, and the face of each iron is engineered to increase COR for faster ball speeds.

Finally, the Kalea Gold putter (RRP £249) uses Spider S construction and a multi-material design to increase stability while aiding alignment with a combination of a blue body, grey TruePath Alignment and a gold trailing edge.
