Callaway has unveiled its latest iron design, the Epic Forged, along with a new hybrid. The multi-material irons are forged from 1025 carbon steel, finished in platinum chrome and feature a Suspended Tungsten Core for the first time in a Callaway forging. The materials combine to offer satisfying feel along with performance delivered through the custom weighting of each head and variable face thickness patterns, which promote consistent spin rates and ball speeds. Meanwhile, the new Epic Flash hybrids feature Callaway’s Jailbreak Technology – two internal bars that link the crown and sole to stiffen the face and transfer more energy at impact -promoting maximum distance. Technology in the new hybrids also includes two tungsten weights designed into each pear-shaped head to optimise launch and flight along with Triaxial Carbon fabric called T2C in the crown – the same material used in Epic Flash drivers.
