England Golf has named its teams for the upcoming European Senior Women’s Team Championship and Senior Women’s & Men’s Home Internationals.
The teams will be captained by England Golf hall of famer Janet Melville as they look to emulate their European success of 2025 and, alongside the men, look to regain the Home Internationals title after Ireland’s impressive final-day comeback to claim the trophy in 2025.
Malton & Norton-based Emma Brown, who finished second in the R&A Senior Women’s Amateur this year, will team up with Julia Brook (Walton Heath, Surrey), Sally Shayler (The Bedfordshire, Bedfordshire), Kerry Smith (Waterlooville, Hampshire), Anne Wheble (Dartford, Kent) and Tracey Williamson (Sheringham, Norfolk) for the European Senior Women’s Team Championship at BlackSeaRama Golf Resort & Villas in Bulgaria on September 1-5.
Julia, Sally, Kerry, Anne and Tracey will then be joined by Sophie Beardsall (Greetham Valley, Lincolnshire) and Elaine Ratcliffe (Essendon, Hertfordshire) for the Home Internationals at Royal St David’s Golf Club in Wales on September 15-17.
