The players who will represent England in this year’s Home Internationals have been announced – with Northumberland’s Charlotte Naughton and Yorkshire’s Lily Hirst named in the women’s team, while Yorkshire’s George Cooper will represent the boys’ team.
The Women’s & Men’s Home Internationals and Girls’ & Boys’ Home Internationals take place on August 4-6, with the women’s & men’s event set to take place at Woodbrook Golf Club in Ireland, and the girls’ & boys’ event taking place at Monifieth Golf Links in Scotland.
Since the Women’s & Men’s Home Internationals were combined in 2022, the England team has won three of the four events, while England has won all five of the Girls’ & Boys’ Home Internationals since the combined event started in 2021.
The England women’s team will include Longhirst Club-based Charlotte and Huddersfield-based Lily as well as Lauren Crump (Hill Valley, Shropshire), Sophia Fullbrook (The Melbourne, Hertfordshire), Nellie Ong (Eaton, Norfolk), Patience Rhodes (Burnham & Berrow, Somerset) and Davina Xanh (Burnham & Berrow, Somerset).
As well as Doncaster-based George, the boys’ side includes Sullivan Goddard (Thetford, Norfolk), Aaron Moody (Burhill, Surrey), Frankie Morton (Orsett, Essex), Cameron Mukherjee (Gullane), Charlie Rusbridge (Colne Valley, Essex), Cole Self (Ringway, Cheshire), Ben Sessions (Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire) and George Whitehead (Hillside, Lancashire).
The men’s side will feature Ben Bolton (Enville, Staffordshire), Jenson Bull (Parkstone, Dorset), Ed Featherstone (Sheringham, Norfolk), Daniel Hayes (Bramhall, Cheshire), Lewy Hayward (Marlborough, Wiltshire), Greg Holmes (Royal Birkdale, Lancashire), Max Hopkins (Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire), Harley Smith (The Rayleigh, Essex) and Jamie Van Wyk (Royal Lytham & St Anne’s, Lancashire).
The girls’ team includes Mariella Buchanan (Bristol & Clifton, Gloucestershire), Summer Carash (Minchinhampton, Gloucestershire), Mia Ingham (Sunningdale, Surrey), Daisy Lee (Lancaster, Lancashire), Ellie Lichtenhein (The Buckinghamshire, Buckinghamshire), Georgia Richardson (Stoneham, Hampshire) and Elizabeth Wilson (Norwood Park, Nottinghamshire).
