The Eaglescliffe Golf Club men’s team lifted the Teesside & District Union of Golf Clubs league trophy after topping division one.
The Eaglescliffe team led the top division with 196 points from their 14 matches – beating 2025 champions Bishop Auckland by seven points.
Meanwhile, Hartlepool topped division two and will be promoted for 2027 alongside Rockliffe. The Wilton team topped division three to earn promotion to the second tier, with Woodham in second place.
The Eaglescliffe will go on to represent the Teesside league in the Dixon Cup at Ponteland on Sunday September 13. The event brings together the winning teams from the five North East men’s leagues, with the best six scores from seven players counting towards each team’s total.
