Woodsome Hall Golf Club’s men’s and ladies’ captains have hosted successful events which reflected the strength of the membership at the club.
Men’s captain Chris Hillaby welcomed 185 members onto the first tee for the first round of his Captain’s Weekend. A total of 58 players survived the cut and teed it up on Sunday – with the club’s marketing director, David Russell, claiming the trophy with rounds of 64 and 66.
Two days later, ladies captain Helen Smithson had an excellent turnout too, with 79 ladies take part in events. The winners of the three divisions in the ladies’ event were Helen Weeds, Sarah Arrowsmith and Rosie Cleave MBE.
