City of Newcastle’s Alex Dixon picked up the £3,000 winner’s cheque in the West Nautical-sponsored pro am at Matfen Hall.
Alex led the field in the North East & North West PGA event with a six under-par score – as Thomas Rowland finished second and Craig Goodfellow and Kyle Marklew finished in a tie for third place.
Carlisle Golf Centre-based Craig meanwhile picked up the trophy in the Hadrian Healthcare-sponsored pro am at Whickham – beating Tyneside’s James Wilson on countback for the trophy as both players shared the winner’s cheque after three under-par rounds of 68. Close House’s Simon Robinson finished third, one shot back.
