Dewsbury District Golf Club junior Annabelle Musson, 14, has been selected to attend the LPGA Foundation Leadership Academy at The Belfry in June.
Annabelle is one of 40 girls from across the country who will attend the two-day event. The programme is designed to develop golf skills, leadership ability, and confidence both on and off the course.
The LPGA Foundation introduced the two-day Leadership Academies in the US in 2015, and this year the foundation has teamed up with The Golf Foundation to bring the programme to the UK.
Having joined Dewsbury District three years ago, Annabelle has progressed through the club’s junior system, playing in team matches and club competitions as well as representing Yorkshire.
Club president Iain Pearson said: “On behalf of everyone at the club, I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to Annabelle on her selection. To be chosen as one of only 40 young golfers from across England is a remarkable achievement and a testament to Annabelle’s talent, dedication, and potential. We are immensely proud of her success and wish her every enjoyment and continued success.”
