Morpeth’s David Clark won the North East & North West PGA’s Tour Championship at Brancepeth Castle.
David led the field with a four under-par round of 66 – finishing two shots clear of his assistant at Morpeth, Kieran Graham. Four players – George Cowan, John Harrison, Colin Ferguson and James Harper – finished in a tie for third place on one under-par.
Following his win, David is at the top of the circuit’s season-long Mizuno Order of Merit. Next up in the points race is the Heineken Dunstanburgh Classic on September 17, before the series concludes with the Matchplay Championship at Slaley Hall.
