Ponteland-based Chris McDonnell and Alnmouth Village-based Martyn Jobling shared top spot in the North East & North West PGA’s pro am at Dunstanburgh Castle.
In strong winds on the Northumberland coast, Chris and Martyn led the way with two over-par scores of 34 points as three players – Michael Skelton, Matty Lamb and Dan Wood – finished one shot back in a tie for third place.
In the team event, professional George Cowan teamed up with Sam Knox and Paul Butler to win with a one under-par score of 73 points.
