Ben Hutchinson won the penultimate event in this season’s Clutch Pro Tour schedule – the Caddy Club Championship at Ingrebourne Links.
Howley Hall-based Ben shot rounds of 67, 69 and 70 to finish tied at the top of the leaderboard with Jon Hopkins after both players finished 10 under-par for 54 holes – before coming out on top in the sudden-death playoff.
As well as taking home the winner’s cheque, Ben moved to second in the season-long order of merit with just the Tour Championship at Slaley Hall in Northumberland on September 30-October 2 remaining in this year’s points race.
The leading three players in the order of merit following the Tour Championship will earn full HotelPlanner Tour playing rights for next season.
