Northumberland county champion Ben Brown picked up the second win of his college golf career as he led the field in the Monument Spring Road Tournament at Monument Shadows Golf Course.
Eastern Wyoming College freshman Ben, who won his first Northumberland County Championship last summer at Arcot Hall, led the field with rounds of 71 and 70 for a three under-par total and a five-shot victory.
Backworth and Bedlingtonshire member Ben also led the EWC Lancers to victory in the team event with an 18 over-par total, while the Lady Lancers swept the top seven spots on the women’s leaderboard to win their team title.
