Bellingham Golf Club’s John Roberts and Owen Loughead teamed up to win the Hadrian League’s Challenge Cup at their home club.
The home team led the way in the annual event – which sees one player post a gross score and one provide a nett score for the team’s total – as John shot a gross score of 75 to finish fourth and Owen shot a nett score of 72 to finish second. Having finished tied at the top with Slaley Hall’s team, Bellingham took the title with the better gross player result.
Meanwhile, Alexander Brown (Tyneside) led the gross scoring with a round of 73, and the best nett title went to Nathan Walton (Slaley Hall) on countback with a score of 72.
