Antonia Emmerson won the Northumberland Ladies’ County Championship at Tynemouth Golf Club, where rain shortened qualifying to 18 holes and drenched players throughout the tournament.
Sixteen-year-old Antonia – who led qualifying with a level-par round of 72 and plays out of The Northumberland Golf Club – beat Close House’s Coralie Watson 4&2 in the final, having overcome past champion Rebecca Ferguson in the semi-finals while Coralie beat defending champion Charlotte Naughton to reach the final match.
