Annual golf day raises £14,862 for the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation

The third annual golf day organised by Glenn Blaney in aid of the Sir Bobby Robson Foundation brought together players from across the region at Morpeth Golf Club.

The event raised £14,862 for the North East-based charity, with 35 teams coming from as far as the Scottish Borders and Harrogate. It was won by Jonny Fuller, Neil Jefferson, Steve Swift and Mark Squires with a score of 103 points, just one point ahead of the chasing pack.

“A big thank you must go to our main sponsors, Standard Security Systems, our hole sponsors, the 102 golf clubs which donated fourballs, and to all those who took part, offered raffle prizes and supported the event,” said Glenn. “Our thanks also go to the whole team at Morpeth, and everyone who volunteered on the day and in the build-up to the event. We’re already looking forward to next year.”

The 2027 event is set to take place at Morpeth on Friday July 9. For more information contact Glenn on glennb2010@hotmail.co.uk
