Alnmouth Golf Club’s Joseph Henderson picked up the biggest win of his golf career to-date with victory in the Northern Golfer Men’s Champion of Champions at Longhirst Hall.
Joseph led the field in the elite event, which brought together club champions crowned in 2021 from across the region. His one under-par round of 72 on the Dawson Course culminated with six pars – enough to beat City of Newcastle’s Andrew Minnikin on countback over the last six holes. Heworth’s Will Marshall finished a shot further back in third place.

The Junior and Ladies Champion of Champions will take place at George Washington on Monday May 2, and all three events will return to their traditional end of season dates for 2022’s club champions later this year – more details will be announced later this season.
