Slaley Hall-based Alex Buchanan led the field in the North East & North West PGA’s Pro Series event at Consett & District Golf Club.
Alex topped the leaderboard in the fifth Pro Series event of the season with a four under-par round of 67 as George Cowan and Matty Lamb finished one shot back in a tie for second place. Three players – James Wilson, Tim Dykes and Chris McDonnell – finished in a tie for fourth place with one under-par scores.
Next up on the NE/NW PGA circuit is the final Pro Series event of the season at Ponteland Golf Club on Tuesday May 26.
