Aim small, miss small

While we can get into working on big swing changes and complex movements, sometimes the simple things in golf provide powerful impacts.

A great visualisation technique to improve driving accuracy is to choose very specific targets to aim at. By being incredibly specific, you leave yourself the maximum margin for error and bring sharp focus to what you’re trying to achieve.

When faced with a difficult tee shot or a narrow fairway, focus your attention on a single point – a marker post, the branch of a tree or any other distinctive object you can see on your intended line. You must be specific and commit to that line before you setup to the golf ball.

From there, given that fairways are usually pretty wide, you’ve got a lot of room to play with.
