ACED Junior Golf Tour announces expanded 2026 schedule

The ACED Junior Golf Tour is set to build on its successful first season with an expanded calendar of events across Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire in 2026.

Launched in 2025 by Blackwell Grange-based PGA professional Aaron Cox, the tour will expand to 10 order of merit events next season – starting on April 6 at Billingham before visiting Wearside (April 7), Bishop Auckland (April 9), Teesside (May 4), Saltburn (May 25), Catterick (May 26), Barnard Castle (July 28), Darlington (July 30), Richmond (Yorks) (August 25) and Cleveland (August 27). Players will then compete in the ACED Junior Tour Final at Blackwell Grange on August 31.

“Launching the junior tour was nerve-racking,” said Aaron. “The feedback from the boys and girls, and their parents, was fantastic and I knew early on that it would grow in 2026.”

As well as wining the support of host clubs and sponsor T Manners & Sons, Aaron has partnered with Progress Junior Golf and the Champion of Champions World Championship – which takes place at Lough Erne in Ireland – to offer invites to their 2027 event to the players who top the ACED orders of merit in 2026.

“There is a real energy around the tour and signups are already strong for the 2026 events,” added Aaron. “My goal for the tour is to build on what has been done before by others and create something that fills the need for competitive golf for youngsters in the North East. Junior golfers here need a pathway to get started before they go on to bigger events and more competitions, and I’m proud to have got that up and running.

“We have kids from across the North East as well as Yorkshire and Cumbria signed up for 2026 already – from the under-10s playing nine holes up to the older ones playing 18 holes off the back tees – with a long time still to go before we get started in April. With fantastic support from the sponsors and partners already involved, and hopefully more of those to come, I’m excited to see the tour grow and develop.”
