Seascale’s Abby Roper successfully defended the Cumbria Ladies County Golf Association Championship trophy at Kirkby Lonsdale, adding her name to the trophy for a third time.
Abby, who won the event in 2023 and 2025, led the 36-hole strokeplay qualifying and progressed through the matchplay stages, beating Florence Martindale in the semi-finals before overcoming Yolanda Metcalfe in the final. In the second semi-final, Yolanda beat Rebecca Wildey.
