The season-long races to the Durham County Golf Union’s Clark Cup and Junior Clark Cup are over – with Castle Eden winning the men’s title as Beamish Park’s youngsters won the junior title.
In the men’s final at Brancepeth Castle, Castle Eden beat Hartlepool 4-1 – with the team of Chris Brown, Sean Huntingdon, Stuart Brown, Steven Presho and Carl Johnson – led by captain Colin Bentham – lifting the trophy.
Meanwhile, Beamish Park’s juniors beat Darlington’s team 3.5-1.5 in the Junior Clark Cup final – with the team of Gabriel Somerville-Smith, Benjy Davies, Luke Robinson, Lucas Waite and Faye Robinson – led by JLO Peter Robinson – taking home the trophy.
