Yorkshireman Nick McCarthy topped the leaderboard at the NE/NW PGA’s Tom Flowers Memorial ProAm at Ramside Hall, while Tim Dykes picked up the winner’s cheque at Thirsk & Northallerton.
Nick shot a round of 67 to lead the field by three at Ramside as Kevin Jackson finished in second place. The event also raised £5,359 for St Cuthberts Hospice – which cared for former NE/NW PGA secretary Tom when he needed it most.
At Thirsk & Northallerton, Tim added to his victory earlier this season at Darlington with two-shot win over George Cowan following his two under-par round of 70.
The North East & North West PGA season continues in June with the Teesside and Cockermouth pro ams, and the Northumberland & Durham Open at Close House on Tuesday June 29.
