The annual Northern Golfer Match Play Pairs tournament is underway with the preliminary round and first round draws available here (scroll down).
Played throughout the season at venues across the North East and Yorkshire, Match Play Pairs offers the chance to compete against teams from across our region and win a place in the NE/NW PGA Overseas Pro Am – to be played in February 2019.
This year’s winning pair will team up with one of the North East’s best professionals in February 2019, as well as adding their names to the Match Play Pairs trophy.
Played throughout the season, teams are drawn against one another in the knockout format, played with 90% handicap allowance, with the final four teams making it to Close House for the semi-finals on Sunday October 7. The final will be played over the Colt Course at Close House, official venue of the 2017 British Masters, on Sunday October 14 with the winning pair heading off to Spain courtesy of GolfingHolidays.org.

*Following the 2017 event, the tournament will see a draw take place following the close of each round of matches in 2018 to ensure teams have an equal chance of playing home or away in each round.
