Girls Golf Rocks at Close House

As part of the national Girls Golf Rocks programme, Close House-based PGA professional Sally Hinton will be hosting a free taster session 3-4pm on Sunday May 19.

To sign up for the session visit rocksandrookies.played.co and search for Close House.

Following the taster session, Sally will also be hosting two blocks of Girls Golf Rocks sessions – which will take place 2-3pm and 3-4pm every Sunday for six weeks from June 2. These blocks of six sessions are £40 per person, and are open to girls aged 5-18 with no experience or equipment required.

“Girls Golf Rocks has been an incredible success since its inception and I can’t wait to deliver this year’s sessions for the next generation of female golfers,” said Sally.

“I’ve been delivering these sessions over the last few years and they’ve proved a great success with so many girls continuing with their golfing journeys with further coaching, getting out on the course, and getting handicaps. Hopefully we’ll see them go on to become lifelong golfers too.”

Girls Golf Rocks encourages beginner girls aged 5-18 to learn and play golf in a fun and friendly way, and is the country’s largest participation programme for girls.
