City of Newcastle captain Chris Miller and vice-captain John Watson led the field in the Northumberland Union of Golf Clubs’ Captains & Vice Captains event at Longhirst Hall.
Chris and John teamed up to post a six under-par total of 42 points as Allendale Golf Club put up a strong defence of the trophy they won last season – Peter Robson and Steven Newman finishing second with a score of 39 points as 26 teams represented their clubs in the annual event.
